Using the credit card on the online payment will have some risks. Visa international card organization has the solution named Verified by Visa to protect their customers.

Verified by Visa, the cardholder information authentication program will be implemented with every online transaction that use Visa card. The program protects the card holders and the Merchants from the card steal, the illegal card information using on the online purchases.

You can use your Visa international card to buy the goods or services on the websites in Vietnam and over the world. Normally, if you enter the card information correctly, your card balance has enough money to pay and it has been activated the internet banking function then your card limit will be deducted by the transaction value. Since the payment base on the information which are displayed on two card faces, in many cases the card information can be seen and exploited easily.

If both the website and the issuer bank participated on Verified by Visa program, the customers will have to enter the internet password aside from the information on the card faces. This password, that helps us prevent the card information exploitation on the online payment, was provided privately for cardholder by the issuer bank and complete security.

Like Visa, the other international card organizations in the world built the similar security programs, such as MasterCard Secure Code or J Secure program. In Vietnam, the websites are connected with OnePAY payment gateway are applied those security programs to help the cardholder and e-commerce websites manage the online transaction safely.
